Dulux Woodsheen gives beautiful, long lasting colour and durable protection to wood surfaces inside and outside of your home. Its special formulation stains and varnishes in one, locking colour into the wood. The surface is sealed and hardened to protect it from everyday wear and tear. Dulux Woodsheen is suitable for doors, windows, skirting, furniture, porches, cladding, facias and shelving.
Apply 2 coats with a brush, or for maximum protection on surfaces exposed to extreme weather, 3 coats. Apply using light, even strokes in the direction of the grain, avoiding overlap. Leave each coat to dry for 2-4 hours before applying the next coat, sanding down lightly between coats and wiping with a damp cloth. Do not use in temperatures below 5°C or in high humidity. The final colour will depend upon the wood type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied, and may look different to the colour in the can. Coverage will depend on the porosity of the wood.
Solvents may cause some of the above effects by absorption through the skin. Repeated or prolonged contact with
the mixture may cause removal of natural fat from the skin, resulting in non-allergic contact dermatitis and absorption
through the skin.
If splashed in the eyes, the liquid may cause irritation and reversible damage.
  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
Make sure the surface is clean (no dirt or algae) and dry.
  • 2. After use
Cleaning After Final Use- Cleaning your brushes and rollers immediately after their final use ensures they can be reused for multiple projects, saving you money and reducing waste. Cleaning- 1. Remove Excess Paint- Scrape off excess paint into container for future projects. 2. Clean with Warm, Soapy Water- Use warm, soapy water in a sealed container, such as a bucket or empty tub, to clean your brushes and rollers. 3. Rinse Thoroughly- Ensure all soap and paint residues are completely rinsed out into container. 4. Dry Naturally- Allow brushes and rollers to dry naturally and store them in a dry, dust-free place. 5. Allowing solids to settle- Allow the paint solids to settle at the bottom of the container. Once settled, pour the clear water into another container for reuse or disposal. 6. Responsible Disposal- Let the remaining paint solids dry out completely and dispose of them as solid waste. Do not flush paint down the drain, including when cleaning painting tools
  • 3. Storing
    1. Reuse, Recycle, or Donate- Whenever possible reuse, recycle, or donate leftover paint. Find local services at mywaste.ie or consider advertising the paint locally. Many good causes often need paint, and a little can go a long way in brightening up community spaces! 2. Dispose Responsibly- Never pour paint or wastewater down drains or sinks. Dispose of them responsibly. Follow the instructions at my waste.ie to recycle empty packs 3. Reuse Roller Cages- Roller cages can be reused. Simply remove the sleeve and store the cage in a dry, dust-free place. 4. Dispose of Unusable Brushes and Sleeves- If your brush or roller sleeve cannot be cleaned or reused, place it in your general waste bin. While recycling is important, bristles or roller sleeves with paint can cause issues at recycling facilities, so it's best to dispose of them correctly.
